Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety Adopts Resolution Concerning EMT Paramedic Training Reimbursement

The Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety members adopted a resolution that would provide reimbursement to those seeking EMT paramedic training.

Human Resources Administrator Jennifer Klingerman explained that Fire/EMS Chief Steve Holm has two firefighters that would like to pursue a paramedic certification.  The pair came up with a contract that they would have to sign that would require that the candidates would agree to work for the city for at least five years.  If that requirement is not met, a retroactive repayment plan would be developed to pay back the city for the $7,500 cost of the certification.

She also noted that there is one employee currently in the process of getting the paramedic certification.

The board approved the resolution with a unanimous vote with no other comments.
