Maxinkuckee Players Present “Salute to Broadway” at The REES

The Maxinkuckee Players will be taking the stage at The REES theatre for five performances in July.
There will be two matinees at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 23 and Sunday, July 30.

Three evening performances at 7:30 p.m. are set for Saturday, July 22; Friday, July 28 and Saturday, July 29.
According to Becky Liechty, Director of the Maxinkuckee Players, 35 people are involved in the production, ranging in age from seven to 75.

“We have a wide variety of solos, duets, trios, and chorus numbers, some with interesting costumes!” says Liechty. “The cast started rehearsals in early June and have been practicing very hard.”

Songs will range from the earliest production of The Wizard of Oz in 1903 to The Lion King in 1997.
Salute to Broadway is a completely new endeavor for the Maxinkuckee Players, as they have always done a musical production at the Culver High School. Liechty shared that “due to circumstances beyond our control, we were unable to do that (production) this summer. Therefore, we decided to accept the generous offer of The REES and perform a musical revue on the beautiful Bob Pickell Performing Arts stage. We are thrilled to be sharing our talents with the audience as they enjoy the fabulous renovations of this Plymouth landmark.”

Tickets for all performances are $20.00 and are available at Fernbaugh’s Diamonds and Fine Jewelry in Plymouth, IN, online at www.reestheatre.com or at the box office until sold out.
