IDEM Continues Air Quality Alert

The Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM) has extended an air quality alert through Friday, July 28.

IDEM is forecasting high ozone levels due to a significant increase in temperatures across the state and a continued air mass from Canadian wildfires.

Anyone sensitive to changes in air quality may be affected when ozone levels are high. Children, the elderly, and anyone with heart or lung conditions should reduce or avoid exertion and heavy work outdoors.

Additionally, the National Weather Service has extended the heat advisory through Friday, July 28.
