Driver Injured in Marshall County Accident

One driver was injured in a Wednesday morning accident in the area of U.S. 30 and Queen Road in Marshall County. 

Police say a 2019 Ford F-350 pickup driven by 56-year-old Charles Sims was stopped on Queen Road waiting to travel southbound on Queen Road through the intersection.  41-year-old Jorge Landeros was traveling west on U.S. 30 approaching the intersection with Queen Road in his commercial vehicle and reportedly disregarded the red light and collided into the pickup truck that was proceeding through the intersection. 

Sims was partially trapped in his pickup and was extricated and airlifted to an area hospital for treatment of unknown injuries.  Landeros did not report any injuries. 

The accident remains under investigation with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department.

The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department was assisted at the scene by Plymouth Fire Department and EMS.
