A Plymouth man died in a two-vehicle accident in Marshall County Friday, June 2.
Marshall County Coroner John Grolich stated that the Marshall County Dispatch Center received a report of the accident at 11:49 a.m. ET in the area of U.S. 6 and Linden Road in Marshall County. A Chevy Trailblazer driven by 52-year-old Anthony Buckland of Plymouth was traveling eastbound on U.S. 6 when the vehicle struck a guardrail and then struck a westbound semi tractor-trailer head-on, according to the report.
Coroner Grolich said Buckland was trapped in the vehicle and was extricated. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the semi, Jose Gallardo of Plymouth, was not injured.
An autopsy is scheduled.
The Marshall County Coroner’s Office responded to the scene, along with LaPaz Fire, Union North Ambulance Service, Bremen Fire, Marshall County Sheriff’s Department, Bremen Police Department, Tri County Ambulance Service, and Deputy Coroner John Lampkins.
The crash remains under investigation by the Marshall County Coroner’s Office and the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department.
