A Plymouth man was arrested Wednesday, June 14 after a traffic stop was conducted by the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department.
Police say the traffic stop was conducted near the intersection of Lincolnway and Jefferson Street at 7:30 a.m. ET. The driver of the vehicle, 38-year-old Johnathan Nifong, was reportedly found to have a suspended driver’s license and was allegedly operating a vehicle with a false and fictitious registration. Officers also found suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle, according to the report.
Nifong was arrested and booked into the Marshall County Jail on preliminary charges of possession of methamphetamine and driving while suspended with a prior conviction.
Formal charges will be determined by the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office.
Suspects are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
