Marshall County Sheriff’s Department Deputies Looking for Vehicle Involved in Accident

Deputies from the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department are looking for a vehicle involved in a Tuesday afternoon accident in the area of State Road 331 north of 3B Road.

Police say a call to the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department was described as a vehicle colliding with a horse and buggy and the vehicle fled the scene. 

Two occupants of the buggy, John E. Schwartz and Ester Schwartz, were injured and transported by EMS to the hospital for evaluation and treatment, according to the report.  Police say witness statements and evidence at the scene indicate that a tan colored SUV was traveling south on State Road 331 and collided with the rear of horse and buggy with the SUV fleeing the scene and failing to stop. 

The SUV is believed to be a 2006-2011 tan colored Buick Rainier.  The vehicle would have damage to the front passenger side in the headlight area.
