The City of Plymouth and the Downtown Plymouth Merchants are hosting a “Kick off to Summer Block Party” and a Sesquicentennial Birthday Party Thursday, June 22 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. ET.
Everyone is welcome to visit downtown Plymouth for free hot dog meals courtesy of Hoosier Catering, Coca-Cola, Culligan Water and the Downtown Merchants, and a free snow cone from BB Vending. Other opportunities to try some different foods will be available for purchase. Birthday cake will also be offered.
Michigan Street will be closed between Garro and Laporte Streets for the event where kids games will be played, crafts will be made, and a fire truck, ambulance and police car will be on display. Classic cartoons will be on the big screen at the REES Theatre. The Heartland Artists Gallery will have face painting available along with a weaving wall, while the Wild Rose Moon will provide live music.
Not only is the City of Plymouth celebrating its Sesquicentennial, but so is the Town of LaPaz! The Marshall County Historical Society Museum is recognizing the milestone events in the window displays.
