A traffic stop May 4 in Marshall County resulted in the arrest of a Plymouth man.
A Marshall County Sheriff’s Department K9 deputy conducted the traffic stop in the area of U.S. 30 and Plymouth-Goshen Trail at 10:30 p.m. ET. Police say during the traffic stop, the driver, 25-year-old Lucas Vervynckt, was suspected to be operating the vehicle while intoxicated. A chemical test reportedly showed him to be over the legal limit of alcohol.
Vervynckt was arrested and transported to the Marshall County Jail where he was booked on preliminary charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated with a prior conviction within the last seven years, and operating a vehicle with an ACE of .08 or more. He has since bonded out of the jail on a $1,500 cash bond.
Suspects are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
