A South Bend man was arrested Saturday, April 29 following a traffic stop in the area of U.S. 30 near Queen Road in Marshall County.
A Marshall County Sheriff’s Department deputy was working DUI patrol on U.S. 30 near Tulip Road shortly after 10 p.m. ET when he reportedly observed a white SUV traveling east that appeared to be driving erratically. The deputy followed the vehicle for a short distance and a traffic stop was conducted at Queen Road, according to the report.
Police say during an investigation, probable cause was found that the driver, 57-year-old Leslie A. Davison of South Bend, was operating the vehicle while intoxicated. A small amount of suspected marijuana was also reportedly found in the vehicle, according to the report.
After certified testing was completed, Davison was arrested and taken to Marshall County Jail where he was booked on a preliminary charge of operating while intoxicated and possession of marijuana.
