Two people were arrested Saturday, May 27 after a traffic stop in the area of 9A Road and U.S. 31 at about 1 a.m. ET.
According to the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department, an officer detected the odor of marijuana from inside the vehicle. Officers conducted a search of the vehicle and found marijuana and drug paraphernalia, according to the report.
The passenger of the vehicle, 26-year-old April A. Greene, allegedly admitted to concealing syringes while at the scene. Police say she was later taken to the hospital due to a possible injury when concealing the syringes from police.
The driver of the vehicle, 33-year-old Collin E. Skaggs, was found to be in possession of methamphetamine while at the Marshall County Jail and he was taken to the hospital after he reportedly admitted to consuming it to hide it, according to the report.
Both suspects were cleared from the hospital and booked into the Marshall County Jail.
They each face preliminary charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, and obstruction of justice. Greene faces an additional preliminary charge of unlawful possession of a hypodermic syringe.
Formal charges will be determined by the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office.
The Plymouth Police Department assisted the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department, along with Lyon’s Towing.
Suspects are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
