A LaPaz man was arrested Sunday, May 28 following a traffic stop in Marshall County.
Police say the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department Dispatch Center received a phone call just after 2 p.m. ET of a man in a silver SUV traveling southbound on Michigan Road from the LaPaz area. He was allegedly tailgating and harassing his estranged wife.
A Marshall County deputy found the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop in the McDonald’s parking lot in Plymouth. During an investigation, the officer identified the driver as 49-year-old Shawn T. Buck and Buck was reportedly displaying signs of alcohol intoxication.
Buck was arrested and transported to the Marshall County Jail where he faces preliminary charges of operating a vehicle while intoxicated with a BAC of .15 or more and operating a vehicle endangering.
Formal charges will be determined by the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office.
The Marshall County Sheriff’s Department was assisted at the scene by the Plymouth Police Department.
Suspects are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
