One driver was arrested Friday, May 26 after his gray Ford Escape collided with a tractor on U.S. 6 in Marshall County at about 10:30 p.m. ET.
Police from the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department say the accident occurred just west of Jarrah Road. An investigation revealed that the driver of the Ford Escape, 42-year-old Johnathan Heckaman, was allegedly impaired. A certified blood test was conducted and once he was cleared from the hospital Heckaman was transported to the Marshall County Jail where he was booked on a preliminary charge of operating while intoxicated with an ACE of .15 or more.
Formal charges will be determined by the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office.
Suspects are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
