A Bremen man was arrested in Plymouth Thursday, May 11 following a traffic stop.
According to the Plymouth City Police Department, an officer spotted a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed on Michigan Street near Hoham Drive around 11:30 p.m. ET. A traffic stop was conducted in the Speedway gas station parking lot.
The officer was advised that the passenger in the vehicle had a large laceration on his arm and was in need of immediate medical attention, according to the report. Medical aid was rendered to the passenger by Plymouth EMS.
Police say the driver, Jerrid Bollenbacher, was determined to be allegedly operating the vehicle recklessly at a high rate of speed while intoxicated.
Bollenbacher was detained and taken to the hospital for a blood draw. He was later transported to the Marshall County Jail without incident and booked on preliminary charges of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated with a prior conviction, and reckless driving.
Suspects are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
