The Argos Community School Board recently received updates on current construction projects at the corporation.
Superintendent Ned Speicher said the cafeteria project ran into a bit of a delay due to the supply chain of materials.
“Right now we’re back on schedule to have it done this summer and have the new cafeteria ready when school opens in August,” said Speicher. “The new Elementary project – the foundations are in and they’re going to start setting steel for that addition.”
The cafeteria project included the expansion of the space to accommodate an increase in enrollment at the corporation. New furniture was also purchased as part of the project.
The Elementary School addition includes the construction of a new music room, art room, and small reading group room. New furniture was also purchased for the addition when construction is complete.
