

Two people were arrested Wednesday, April 5 shortly after 1:30 p.m. ET after the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department received a call about people staying in a vehicle at a residence within the 13,000 block of 5D Road.
A deputy responded to the residence and reportedly found two people in the vehicle in question. During the course of the investigation, police say a substance believed to be methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia were recovered.
The suspects, 48-year-old Amy Jo Fischer and 53-year-old Steven S. Overmyer, both of Elkhart, were arrested on preliminary charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of paraphernalia. Fischer faces an additional preliminary charge of possession of a hypodermic syringe.
Suspects are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
