The Town of Bremen is seeking the next director of operations.
Trend Weldy announced his retirement earlier this year and the Bremen Town Council would like to have someone in place this spring. Weldy plans to leave his post in August after serving in the position for about 10 years.
Applications will be accepted until April 5.
The director of operations is the chief executive employee of the Town of Bremen and reports and responds directly to the Bremen Town Council. The director of operations is responsible for all town departments, and assists with the town budgets and the evaluation of purchases and contracts. The director also monitors legislative updates and advocates on behalf of the Town of Bremen. The support of the town’s boards and commissions is included, as well as the planning and preparation of grant applications, and is the primary contact with the public. The director also serves as the building commissioner and the director of economic development, and more.
The Bremen Town Council took action last week to unanimously approve the job description as updated and presented for consideration.
