The Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety members will consider several requests when they meet tonight.
The board will review street closure requests submitted by representatives of the Cars and Coffee event and a separate request by Heartland Artists Gallery. Daughters of the American Revolution representatives will ask to put up banners honoring veterans.
Department heads will also give reports as necessary.
The Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety will meet at 6 p.m. ET tonight, followed by the Plymouth City Council meeting at 6:30 p.m. ET.
The Plymouth City Council members will hold a public hearing concerning a tax abatement request from Plymouth Hospitality LLC. A second public hearing will be held concerning a tax abatement request from AK Industries, Inc.
The council will consider the second and third readings of an ordinance that re-establishes the Cumulative Capital Development Fund.
A resolution will be up for consideration that addresses a Revitalization Rebate Program Grant application by George Schricker. Two separate resolutions will be reviewed that confirms the adoption of a declaratory resolution designating certain real estate to be within an Economic Revitalization Area for purposes of real property tax abatement for AK Industries, Inc. and for Plymouth Hospitality, LLC.
John Cannon will present information from the Indiana Attorney General’s Office, and the council will review several CF-1 forms that deal with a company’s tax abatement compliance.
Both meetings will be held in the Council Chambers room on the second floor of the Plymouth City Building at 124 N. Michigan Street. Anyone wanting to attend the meeting in person should enter the building through the Garro Street entrance.
