Two Nappanee Residents Arrested after Traveling Wrong Way on U.S. 30 in Plymouth

Two residents from Nappanee were arrested Sunday, March 12 at approximately 7:30 a.m. ET after a Plymouth Police Department officer conducted a traffic stop on U.S. 30 from Oak Road.

Police say the vehicle was traveling east on U.S. 30 in the westbound lane.

The officer conducted the traffic stop and as a result of an investigation, the driver, 20-year-old Trever Yoder, was arrested on preliminary charges of neglect of a dependent and illegal consumption of alcohol, according to the report.  The passenger, 19-year-old Owen Borkholder, was reportedly found to be intoxicated and was arrested on a preliminary charge of illegal consumption of alcohol.

Four juveniles were also in the vehicle and had allegedly consumed alcohol. They were released to their parents with charges pending a review of the Marshall County Prosecutor’s Office.

Suspects are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
