The Saint Joseph Health System will be closing the Plymouth Medical Center New Beginnings Birthplace beginning Sunday, April 30, 2023. The Marshall County Obstetrics/Gynecology Office will close Friday, March 31, 2023.
In a statement released by the Saint Joseph Health System, officials are “committed to fulfilling our mission to serve as a compassionate and transforming healing presence in our communities. Unfortunately, despite our best efforts, we have yet to successfully attract an obstetrician to serve the needs of our patients in Marshall County.”
Officials say the Saint Joseph Health System has multiple health care professionals that can provide prenatal and gynecological care in Marshall County.
