A Plymouth man was arrested Sunday, February 26 after the Plymouth Police Department received a call about an intoxicated man allegedly threatening the caller with a sword.
Police say the suspect, 31-year-old Bruce Stanley, was outside of the home on Shalley Drive when officers arrived and he was detained for officer safety. The victim told police that she returned home and Stanley was standing outside with a sword. He allegedly pointed the sword at the victim’s stomach and asked her “if she wanted to die tonight” and poked her repeatedly with the blade, according the report.
Stanley was arrested and transported to the Marshall County Jail. While at the jail, police say Stanley became violent and allegedly kicked a deputy in the leg.
Stanley faces preliminary charges of domestic battery with a deadly weapon, intimidation with a deadly weapon, and battery on a law enforcement officer.
Suspects are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
