Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety, City Council to Meet Tonight

The Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety will meet tonight where they will consider two requests from the St. Michael Church.

Department heads will provide reports as necessary during tonight’s meeting.

The Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety will meet at 6 p.m. ET, followed by the Plymouth City Council meeting at 6:30 p.m. ET.


Mayor Mark Senter will present his State of the City address to the city council. A public hearing will be held concerning a tax abatement request from ADDD Equities, LLC.  Another public hearing will be held to consider the reestablishment of the Cumulative Capital Development Fund.

The council will consider a mayoral appointment to the Unsafe Buildings and Premises Board and an Executive Order concerning Washington Street.

City Attorney Sean Surrisi will present several CF-1 tax abatement reports from Indiana Wheel Company.

An ordinance will be up for approval that would reestablish the Cumulative Capital Development Fund. The council will also review a resolution that would declare certain real estate to be within an Economic Revitalization Area from Plymouth Hospitality, LLC, and a separate resolution for the same purpose for AK Industries, Inc.  A resolution recommending Harman Restaurants, Inc. the issuance of a permit to sell alcoholic beverages at 101 S. Michigan Street will be considered, and a resolution that confirms the adoption of a declaratory resolution designating certain real estate as an Economic Development Area for the purposes of real property tax abatement for ADDD Equities, LLC. The final resolution for consideration tonight would be for the approval of an application from George Schricker for a Commercial Revitalization Rebate Program grant.

Both meetings will be held in the second floor Council Chambers room in the Plymouth City Building at 124 N. Michigan Street.  Those interested in attending the meeting in person should use the Garro Street entrance.
