A Marshall County Republican Party Caucus was held Wednesday evening to select a new member to the Center Township Advisory Board.
Four candidates filed the proper paperwork to be considered for the seat. The candidate would replace Keith Hammonds who is resigning from the seat effective today (March 31).
Each candidate was given three minutes to address the five Center Township precinct committee members present and eligible to vote on the new board member. Eric G. Anderson spoke first, followed by Doug Kucera, Jeff Nicolet, and Aaron Wagers.
A majority vote was achieved after the first balloting process which found Doug Kucera as the winning candidate to fill the vacant Center Township Advisory Board seat. Kucera previously served as the Center Township Trustee and as an Advisory Board member.
Kucera will be sworn into office by the Marshall County Clerk.
