A moped driver was arrested Sunday, March 12 following a traffic stop by an officer with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department in the area of Michigan Road near Veteran’s Parkway.
Police say the officer located marijuana and marijuana paraphernalia during the traffic stop. The driver, 63-year-old Carol J. Wagers, was arrested and transported to the Marshall County Jail.
While at the jail, she was found to be in possession of additional marijuana and paraphernalia, according to the report.
Wagers faces preliminary charges of possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia.
Suspects are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
