The Argos Community School Board members considered a request from Director Austin Mills to take band and choir students on a first-ever trip for the music department.
The students will be going to Disney World. Austin Mills told MAX News that the students will be traveling by charter bus to Florida where they will go to Lake Buena Vista and to Animal Kingdom, along with a visit to Epcot and Hollywood Studios.
One unique stop will be a two-and-a-half hour workshop taught by Walt Disney World professional entertainers.
A program called HarmoniUS will be a feature during the trip which will celebrate how the music of Disney inspires people all over the world and displays some of the most fantastic sets.
The school board approved the request. The trip will be March 15-20, 2024 during spring break.
