Two people were arrested on drug charges following a traffic stop Sunday, February 19 in the area of U.S. 30 and Plymouth-Goshen Trail.
According to the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department, K9 Diesel was utilized to conduct an open air sniff around the vehicle. K9 Diesel reportedly alerted to the presence of narcotic drugs in the vehicle. Suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia were located inside the vehicle, according to the report.
The driver, 42-year-old Nancy Hochschild-Vanvynck, of South Bend, and passenger 40-year-old Stacy Brown, of Grovertown, were arrested and transported to the Marshall County Jail on preliminary charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of paraphernalia.
Suspects are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
