John Glenn High School Principal Chris Manering announced to the school board last week the Valedictorian and Salutatorian for this year’s graduating class.
Manering said the Valedictorian is Ryan Shoue, the son of Douglass and Amy Shoue. Ryan has narrowed down his plans for next year and plans to attend either Purdue University or Notre Dame University. Ryan plans to pursue a career in engineering or physics.
The Salutatorian is Sophie McLochlin, the daughter of Tim and Dena McLochlin. Sophie has not finalized her post secondary plans, but plans on attending a university. Sophie plans on pursuing a career in broadcast journalism and minoring in Political Science and Spanish.
Manering told the school board that Shoue and McLochlin will come before the school board in March or April to be recognized by the board, along with the rest of the Top 10 students in the graduating class of 2023.
