Argos School Superintendent Gives Cafeteria Project Update

Argos Community School Superintendent Ned Speicher says the cafeteria addition project is ongoing and should be complete in May with furniture to move in over the summer.

He commented further on the cafeteria project and other projects at the school corporation.

“The goal is to have that up and ready to go for next school year,” said Speicher.  “Right now the roofing deck is being put on and the walls and the windows are being put in the new addition.  That is the cafeteria addition. The Elementary School addition is going to be a new art room and new music room.  That is just beginning.  They’re just starting to move some dirt and getting ready to put in foundation. The new heating and cooling units have been ordered and we’re just waiting for them to be manufactured so they can be installed.”

Speicher noted that furniture is being ordered for the new rooms.  There are manufacturing delays so he is hoping that the new furniture can be delivered in time for when the construction is complete and the rooms can be inhabited.
