Culver-Union Township Fire Chief Terry Wakefield presented the fire department’s annual statistics to the Culver Town Council last week.
The firefighters responded to 25 fire alarm calls, 23 medical calls, 7 grass fire calls, 6 vehicle accidents, 6 carbon monoxide investigations, 5 structure fires, 4 instances of mutual aid for structure fires, 4 gas leak investigations, 3 hit gas lines, 2 utility pole fires, 2 elevator rescues, 1 anhydrous tank rollover, 1 combine fire, 1 vehicle fire, 1tree fire, 1 possible electrical fire, and 1 possible missing person on/near a river.
There were a total of 93 runs for the Culver-Union Township Fire Department in 2022.
