Wednesday was the first official day candidates could file for office in the 2023 Municipal Election cycle.
Several members of the Republican Party filed their candidacy for the 2023 Election Wednesday morning in the Marshall County Clerk’s Office. Those candidates include Brandon Richie for Plymouth Common Council – At Large, John Grolich for Mayor of Plymouth, Brian Bartlett for Plymouth Common Council – At Large, Greg Compton for Mayor of Plymouth, Lynn Gorski for Plymouth Clerk-Treasurer, Randy Longanecker for Plymouth Common Council District 4, and Don Ecker for Plymouth Common Council District 2.
The offices in Plymouth up for election in this Municipal Election include mayor, clerk-treasurer, city council seats in Districts 1-4 and three At-Large seats. In Argos, the clerk-treasurer and three At-Large seats are available. In Bourbon, clerk-treasurer, and two At-Large seats are open in this election. There are four At-Large seats open in the Town of Bremen along with the clerk-treasurer’s position, while three At-Large seats are open in the Town of Culver as well as clerk-treasurer. In LaPaz, the clerk-treasurer’s position and three At-Large seats are available.
Candidates have until Friday, February 3 at noon ET to file in the Marshall County Clerk’s Office. The May Primary Municipal Election is May 2.
