The Bourbon Town Council reorganized during their first meeting of the year Tuesday.

The council officers were retained with President Ward Byers, Vice President Les McFarland and Member Terry Clemens.

The Council also reappointed Town of Bourbon Attorney Alex Hoover, Bourbon Police Chief William “Bill” Martin, and Public Works Superintendent Roger Terry.

McFarland made a motion that members of the Bourbon Redevelopment Commission be retained unless they have otherwise indicated they no longer wanted to serve. Byers stated that the Triton School Corporation will be appointing a new non-voting member for their representation in February.  The council approved the motion.

The Council also approved and signed the contract for Attorney Hoover which had no changes apart from updated dates, and they approved the Matchett Center and Park Janitorial Contract with Heather Chupp.

Town of Bourbon Clerk-Treasurer Kimberly Berger confirmed that Nepotism Forms and Conflict of Interest Statements have been distributed and signed.
