South Bend Man Arrested Following Marshall County Traffic Stop

A South Bend man was arrested Tuesday, December 13 after a traffic stop was conducted by an officer with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department. 

Police say the traffic stop occurred in the area of U.S. 31 and 9A Road at 12:15 p.m. ET.  The driver, identified as 34-year-old Jeremy Lee of South Bend, was reportedly found to be driving while suspended with a prior conviction and had active warrants in Marshall County and in St. Joseph County.

During the traffic stop, suspected cocaine and marijuana were located inside the vehicle, according to the report.

Lee was arrested and booked into the Marshall County Jail on preliminary charges of possession of cocaine or a narcotic drug less than five grams, driving while suspended with a prior conviction, and the active warrants.

Suspects are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
