The Plymouth Community School Board reviewed proposed changes in adult meal prices during their recent meeting.
Director of Food Services Amy Collins told the board the State of Indiana found that the prices for adult breakfast and lunches were not sufficient. United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) guidelines brought the cost of adult breakfast up from $1.25 to $1.75 and the adult lunch from $2.85 to $3.35 at the K-5 level and $3.45 at the 7th through 12th grade levels. Those prices are retroactive to October 12, 2022 which was when the corporation had to update the pricing in the Point of Sale (POS) system to comply with USDA pricing regulations. The board approved the requested update to adult meal pricing.
Meanwhile, the board also approved a contract with Bashor Children’s Home to provide wrap around services to accommodate a student in need.
