Three John Glenn School Board members did not seek re-election in the 2022 General Election and attended their last school board meeting Tuesday night as trustees.
Dennis Holland served 12 years on the board and was instrumental in guiding the Building Trades classes over the years, while Daniel Drotar served four years on the board and taught for 26 years at the corporation.
William “Bill” Groves was recognized for having served the longest term on the school board – 25 years. He was emotional in attributing his successful leadership and the school corporation’s forward momentum to his family, school staff, fellow school board members, and the community.
“What an honor it has been to serve the children and the patrons of our community,” said Groves. “I have valued being a member of the community and the school corporation. I have lived in this community all my life. I wanted to thank the John Glenn School community and the patrons for their support over the last 25 years.”
Three new members will join the John Glenn School Board and begin their service January 1, 2023.
