A Plymouth woman was arrested in the overnight hours Sunday following an accident in the area of Michigan Road and 6A Road in Marshall County.
Deputies from the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department say that an investigation revealed that the vehicle was traveling southbound on Michigan Road north of 6A Road and left the west side of the roadway for unknown reasons. The vehicle hit a mailbox and an embankment, causing damage to the vehicle, according to the report.
The driver, Amber L. Shock, was not injured but police say she was suspected to be under the influence. Field sobriety tests were completed and a certified test later reportedly showed her to be over two times the legal limit of alcohol.
Shock was arrested and taken to the Marshall County Jail. She faces preliminary charges of operating a vehicle with a BAC of .15 or more, operating a vehicle while intoxicated endangerment, and possession of marijuana. Shock later posted a cash bond and was released from jail.
Suspects are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
