Plymouth City Council Opens Public Hearing for Additional Appropriation Request

The Plymouth City Council members opened a public hearing Monday night to hear comments about a proposed additional appropriation request by the Plymouth Municipal Airport.

Airport Manager Bill Sheley explained that the $10,000 in funds would go toward fuel costs.

“We’re on track, historically, to be at as much as we’ve ever sold – it’s just because of the cost of goods that we didn’t appropriate enough to cover the cost of goods because of how much the cost of it has actually gone up this year.”

Councilman Jeff Houin asked if $10,000 would be enough for the rest of the year, and Sheley assured the council that it would cover everything.

There were no other public comments.

Following the public hearing, the council unanimously approved a resolution authorizing the additional appropriation.
