The solar project in Bremen is experiencing a slight delay.
Electric Department Superintendent Ben Wright told the Bremen Town Council Monday afternoon that the contractor has been waiting on key components to arrive. They have come in so the project may be online in mid-November.
The project involves a 35 acre solar park on 1st Road in Bremen that will provide 6.75 MW of electricity for only the Town of Bremen.
In other news, Police Chief Brad Kile noted that a new recruit for the Bremen Police Department may be ready to begin his duties by mid-December, following a pension board meeting and the submission of test results to the state.
