Marshall County Sheriff’s Department to Host Firearm Safety Course

Another Firearm Safety Course is planned Saturday, November 5 at 9 a.m. ET, hosted by the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department.

The course will begin with classroom training related to safety concepts, legal issues, handling, storage, carrying, and fundamentals of shooting. The class will break for lunch and then meet at a local firearms range to practice with certified instructors.

There were several changes in Indiana law that went into effect July 1 of this year concerning firearms and the carrying of firearms. Officers from the Sheriff’s Department are offering this class as an avenue of education to the community concerning these laws.

To sign up for the free Firearm Safety Course, contact the Records Division of the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department at 574-936-3187.
