The John Glenn School Board members opened up a public hearing Tuesday night to take comments on the 2023 budget.
In a previous meeting, Business Manager Tom Bendy presented the budget information to the school board where he said the Education Fund is about $13.6 million, the Debt Service Fund is about $2.4 million, the Operations Fund at just under $5.5 million, and the Rainy Day Fund at $300,000.
The total of all funds is estimated at $21.8 million.
Several building projects are anticipated to take place over the next three years in the Capital Projects Plan, including roofing, restroom renovations, exterior door replacement, interior door replacement, locker replacement, and programming purchases, among other items.
Three buses are also expected to be replaced in 2023, according to the Bus Replacement Plan. The entire plan contains a replacement schedule through 2027.
There were no public comments during Tuesday night’s public hearing.
The board plans to adopt the 2023 budget at the October 18 meeting.
