John Glenn Officials Call Falloween Fest a Success

John Glenn High School Principal Chris Manering told the John Glenn School Board members that this year’s Falloween Fest event in September was a giant success.

The Falloween Fest is an annual event to raise money for John Glenn Education Foundation scholarships.

Manering commented, “In addition to raising money for our senior scholarships, the extra curricular activities that were doing different tents and things like that brought in about $20,000 minus expenses for their organizations during the festival.  I’ve been here nine years and that was the busiest Saturday I think I’ve seen.”

There were other donations toward Falloween approved by the board last week.

A final tally of funds raised will be presented to the board in an upcoming meeting.

Superintendent Christopher Winchell noted that the John Glenn Education Foundation has given over $500,000 in scholarships to students in 13 years.
