The Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ recently announced the closure of the Catherine Kasper Life Center.
The closure will be effective March 31, 2023. At that time, Catherine Kasper Home will no longer intake long-term healthcare patients. Short-time rehab will continue until the closure.
According to information provided in a press release, over the past several years, the Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ and the Catherine Kasper Life Center Board of Directors have been searching for a partner to assume the sponsorship, governance, and management of Catherine Kasper Life Center. Unfortunately, they were unsuccessful in this endeavor.
They are planning to form a new corporation to provide aging in place non-licensed personal care services for Maria Center residents and, if possible, appropriated placed Catherine Kasper Home residents.
