The Triton Community School Board members opened a public hearing Monday night to take comments on the school corporation’s proposed 2023 budget, Capital Projects Plan and Bus Replacement Plan.
Superintendent Jeremy Riffle said there was no public comment concerning those items.
The corporation’s total budget is estimated at $12.9 million with $900,000 in the Rainy Day Fund, about $1.4 million in the Debt Service Fund, just over $6.7 million in the Education Fund, and about $3.9 million in the Operations Fund.
The budget is expected to be adopted during the school board’s October 10 meeting.
The board also opened a public hearing for collective bargaining which is required before the tentative teacher agreements are negotiated. Riffle said there were no public comments.
