Marshall County Health Department Offers COVID-19 Booster Shots

Beginning today, the Marshall County Health Department will offer Pfizer and Moderna bivalent mRNA boosters at the drive-thru vaccine site located behind Lifeplex at 2855 Miller Drive in Plymouth.

Clinic hours will be Mondays from noon to 6 p.m. and the second Saturday of the month from 8 a.m. to noon ET.

To make an appointment, call the Health Department at 574-935-8565.

The new booster recommendation for people ages 12 years and older is to receive one bivalent mRNA booster after the completion of a monovalent primary series.  It replaces all prior booster recommendations for this age group.

A bivalent Moderna booster dose is recommended in people ages 18 years and older, and a bivalent Pfizer-BioNTech booster dose is recommended in people ages 12 years and older.

A bivalent booster cannot be given without first completing at least a primary series and should be administered two months after the completion of a primary series or last booster.

Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson and Johnson primary series vaccines will also be available for adults and children ages 12 and older.
