The Indiana State Police has been requested to investigate an inmate death in the Marshall County Jail.
Police say Marshall County jail staff located an unresponsive inmate alone in a single bunk Thursday, September 1 just after 9 p.m. ET. The inmate was identified as 53-year-old Kelly Peterson, of Culver.
An autopsy was scheduled for Friday afternoon.
Peterson was arrested Thursday, August 25 on a preliminary charge of child solicitation as a Level 5 Felony.
