The popular Falloween Fest at the John Glenn High School begins Friday on the grounds of the school at 101 John Glenn Drive in Walkerton.
It all starts at 4 p.m. ET with a giant garage sale at the East Garage, and the sale of food and other activities sponsored by various organizations within the corporation. The grand parade begins at 5:15 p.m. on Van Buren Street and goes down Roosevelt to Georgia Street to the school, sponsored by the Walkerton Chamber of Commerce. A softball invitational tournament begins Friday evening, along with midway rides and plenty of food and craft vendors.
Falloween continues Saturday with Nancy’s Falcon Kitchen breakfast from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m., North Liberty Masonic Lodge’s famous potato donuts will be served at 9 a.m. with the fun run at 9 a.m. Craft vendors open at 10 a.m., rides begin at 11 a.m., and the John Glenn Athletic Department-sponsored food sales at noon. A puppet laser show will play in the high school auditorium at 12:30 p.m. and again at 2:45 p.m. on Saturday, with plenty of music throughout the day in the outdoor entertainment tent. The spectacular fireworks show begins at 9:45 p.m. ET.
Sunday’s activities include the pancake breakfast at the High School Cafeteria from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., the car cruise-in at noon, the petting zoo from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. sponsored by John Glenn FFA, a chicken and noodles dinner at 1 p.m., and the Starmakers Summer 2022 Show in the auditorium at 1:30 p.m.
The Falloween Fest closes Sunday at 6 p.m. ET.
