City of Plymouth Clerk-Treasurer Lynn Gorski informed the Plymouth Common Council during the regular meeting last week that the 2022 American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds were received in the amount of $1,131,095.96 slightly more than the funding received in 2021 in the amount of $1,126,830.73. Total ARPA money received is $2,257,926.69.

Though a resolution has already been passed that the council will spend it based on the final rule, Gorski informed the council that they are required to establish and approve a plan. The plan has to be in writing, but can be adjusted.

Gorski also informed the board that she would be participating in training with the Indiana Department of Local Government Finance (DLGF) prior to the Budget Review.

In other news, the Common Council held their Budget Review on Monday at 6 p.m. to consider the Proposed Budget Packet.

Gorski will make adjustments to the budget that were discussed and it will be advertised on Indiana Gateway for Government Units for the first reading of the Budget Ordinance which will be held on Monday, September 12. The second and third readings will be held on Monday, September 26. Both those meetings are held at 6:30 p.m. in the City of Plymouth Building.
