Bourbon Police Chief Martin Provides August Report to Town Council

BOURBON — Bourbon Police Department (BPD) Chief William “Bill” Martin updated the Bourbon Town Council on the August 2022 monthly activity report.

Chief Martin reported 875 Daily Log Entries.

The BPD Activity Report for August 2022 included 2 accidents reported, 15 uniform traffic tickets, 5 ordinance tickets, 20 school patrols, 11 written warnings, 61 verbal warnings, 2 vehicle identification checks, 43 traffic details including radar checks, 8 motorist assists, 4 attempts to locate and 12 foot patrols.

The BPD Criminal Activity Report for August 2022 included 7 felony arrests, 13 misdemeanor arrests, 14 case reports assigned, and 2 alarms.

The BPD Administrative and General Report included 96 office details, 3 firearms applications, 0 record checks / processing, 15 general complaints, 35 requests for service, 134 security checks, 103 public contacts, 18 assists to other agencies, 5 animal complaints, 1 notice served, 2 doors or windows found open, 1 family disturbance complaint, 12 suspicious persons or vehicles, and 7 calls to 9-1-1.

In addition to his report, Chief Martin informed the council that the BPD was presented with a plaque from the Pastor of the Methodist Church commemorating September 11.
