The Argos Community School Board held a public hearing on the 2023 budget during their most recent meeting.
Superintendent Ned Speicher said there were no public comments on the budget.
“The Education Fund is showing a slight increase because of increased enrollment which is good news,” commented Speicher. “The Operations Fund is going to remain approximately the same. We don’t anticipate any tax increases or tax impact to it.”
The budget total is $7.8 million. The Debt Service Fund is about $1.1 million, the Education Fund is about $4.7 million, and the Operations Fund is about $1.9 million.
The board is expected to adopt the budget during their next meeting on Monday, October 24.
