The Argos Community School Board members took time to analyze and adjust bus driver pay during their meeting this week.
Superintendent Ned Speicher explained that the board considered a supplemental pay increase for the 2022-2023 school year.
“It’s not a salary increase, but it’s like a bonus or a stipend, supplemental pay for service,” said Speicher. “If they’re here for ninety percent of the year or more, they get a $1,000 bonus for driving for us. We appreciate our bus drivers!”
The school board approved that adjustment.
