Two people were injured in a Monday afternoon accident in Marshall County.
Marshall County Sheriff’s Department deputies say at about 4:40 p.m. ET 18-year-old Mary Miller of Goshen was attempting a turn on 11th Road to go east from the southbound lanes of U.S. 31 in a 2011 Volkswagon Jetta. She reportedly failed to yield to the right-of-way of a 2004 Ford F-150 driven by 76-year-old Verne Searer of Elkhart who was traveling north on U.S. 31 as the vehicle approached the intersection. The two vehicles collided in a right angle collision.
Miller was transported to the hospital for medical treatment, while Searer complained of pain but refused transport by EMS, according to the report.
